Establishing an Analytical Theory of Extraordinary Abilities

The expansion of cross-media narratives in two-dimensional culture has formed a huge fictional field covering animation, comics, games and film and television adaptations. However, the extraordinary ability systems of different works lack unified comparison standards due to different worldview rules, and the discussion of cross-work combat power has long been mired in subjective disputes. This study proposes the theory of six abilities, which decomposes all extraordinary abilities into six basic properties: Mind, Vital, Will, Mana, Law, and Soul. It also establishes ontological definitions, golden judgment questions, and principles for distinguishing levels of analysis. Empirical analysis shows: the ability of telekinesis and the magic power of Xiaoyuan belong to Qi; the magic power of Dayuan belongs to heaven; chakra is essence + Qi + human; the substitute is Jing + spirit + human; the magic eye of direct death is driven by Qi + essence skills. The six-energy theory penetrates narrative labels, maps the abilities of different works to the same analysis plane, and provides structural positioning for law-operating abilities. This study establishes the first set of cross-work analysis framework based on the original nature of capabilities, providing an operational methodological basis for comparison of two-dimensional combat capabilities.
