From the Start as a Paper Effigy Craftsman: I'm Uncle Jiu's Senior Disciple

Lin Le transmigrates into Uncle Jiu's zombie world, where Uncle Jiu raises him. He awakens a Paper-Crafting System. Paper crafting has its taboos: never paint the eyes on a paper figure, or it will commune with spirits and attract ghosts.

To grow stronger, he has no choice but to break those taboos again and again. The paper figures whose eyes he paints come to life and call him "Master"; an army of three thousand paper figures awakens underground, waiting for his return; and the Black Lotus Cult covets his hand that brings them to life, hoping to use him to resurrect a demon lord.

A demon in his previous life, a Daoist in this one. With his paper-figure son and Uncle Jiu's disciples, Lin Le sets out from the Ren Family Town funeral home, exorcising demons along the way and uncovering shocking secrets from both his past and present lives.

Paper figures become soldiers; painted eyes confer godhood. When the taboos are broken, is he a Daoist who will save the people, or a demon king who will unleash calamity?
