The Phantom Appears

This story takes place sometime in modern-era Shanghai, though the exact time and place have been lost to memory. All we know is that a newspaper proofreader went out for a stroll and encountered something sinister. This led to a case involving a ghost, tormented by an obsession it couldn't let go of in life, who conjured up terrifying illusions and claimed lives. Fortunately, a high-ranking monk from Longhua Temple came to the rescue, finally vanquishing the evil and restoring peace to the world.
