A County Magistrate in the Ming Dynasty: The More I Slack Off, the Faster I Rise

Chen Ping'an transmigrates to the Ming Dynasty and binds himself to the Strongest Freeloader System.

As long as he lies flat, he gets stronger.

And so he becomes the laziest county magistrate of the Hongwu era. When his colleagues impeach him for dereliction of duty, he promptly has a corrupt official's ledgers delivered to Zhu Yuanzhang's desk. When powerful local families oppress the common people, he writes an anonymous letter overnight and attaches three baskets of evidence. When factions vie to win over the princes, he turns around and reports them, livestreaming both sides' conspiracies to the entire court.

All he wants is to lie flat in peace, but System rewards keep pouring in. Then one day, during morning court, Zhu Yuanzhang publicly slams down a thick stack of "anonymous reports," and every official trembles in fear.

On the Dragon Throne, the Hongwu Emperor fixes his piercing gaze on the young county magistrate in the corner of the court, who has been yawning the whole time:

"Chen, my dear subject, tell me: who among all these officials does not deserve to die?!"
