By a Twist of Fate

College student Lin Ye inherits the old bookstore his grandfather left behind. He thinks fortune has finally smiled on him, but it turns out the shop sells books by day and becomes a "waystation" between the worlds of yin and yang at night. Wailing ghosts come to borrow suona horns, hanging ghosts want sturdier ropes, and even the Black and White Impermanence drop by for tea and to gripe about work now and then...

To stay alive and earn a little "ghost money" to improve his life, Lin Ye is forced to outwit all sorts of "customers" every day. But as one bizarre commission after another comes knocking, he discovers that his grandfather's death hides a secret, and that he has long since been swept into a vast whirlpool spanning both worlds.

"Hey, you there, mind if I use your roof? I need to catch a flying head barbarian!"

"Stop knocking! This is a load-bearing wall. Can you afford to pay for it if you break it?"

Bouncing back and forth between laughing till he crows and breaking out in a cold sweat, Lin Ye can only cry out: Being a "middleman" between the worlds of yin and yang is way too hard!
