In the Name of the People: I Rejected Liang Lu, and Qi Tongwei Crushed Handong

A sequel fanfic to In the Name of the People. Qi Tongwei. Reborn. Supreme People's Procuratorate. Anti-corruption. Male-oriented spin-off.

Qi Tongwei shoots himself at Lone Eagle Ridge. When he wakes, he's twenty years in the past, on that rainy night when he was shot twice. This time, he tears up the Liang family's marriage contract and heads north to the Supreme People's Procuratorate, riding the glory of being a hero in the fight against drugs. For twenty years, he walks a knife's edge. While Zhao Ruilong is still shouting, "My father is Zhao Lichun," his arrest warrant is already hanging over him. While Gao Yuliang is still plotting in his study, Qi Tongwei's vast net is closing in. From deputy division chief of investigations to deputy director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, two lifetimes have taught him to see through the dark schemes of human nature. On the night Sha Ruijin arrives in Handong, he hands over a "death list" of thirteen people. He has the underground networks behind Jingzhou's land deals, loans, and tenders all in his grasp. "What I want is simple," he says, gazing over Handong at night. "A Handong where the hero of Lone Eagle Ridge never has to kneel." This time, he crushes the Zhao family, brings Gao Yuliang to account, and tears corruption out of the forest by its roots.
