The Legend of Dugu Jialuo

The story in this book is adapted from the Sui Shu of Northern History and related records of ancient Chinese life history. Because the calendar of the Northern Zhou Dynasty is used, some seasonal descriptions are slightly different from modern understanding. It strives to recreate the scene of the turbulent era of the blending of Hu and Han on the basis of historical truth. In 557 AD, a political regime established by the northern horse-riding nomads, the Northern Zhou Dynasty, established its capital in Chang'an, covering half of China. This nation, which once lived as a nomadic hunter, traveled the north with their superb equestrian and archery skills. However, their customs, language, and governance methods were different from those of the Han people, and they have long been called "barbarians." This book takes the troubled times of the Northern Zhou Dynasty as the background, and uses the love between Dugu Jialuo and Yang Jian as the main line, connecting the two people in the prosperous years of working side by side to conquer the world - from the children of the aristocratic family knowing each other, to working side by side to put down the chaos. They created the foundation of the Sui Dynasty, and their love hides perseverance and responsibility. It is both heroic and tender, and it also carves out a legend of the emperor and the empress working together to stabilize the country. It has both historical depth and humanistic warmth.
