I Made a Scallion Pancake, and the Whole Internet Begged Me to Come Out of Retirement

Jiang He, a PhD from Peking Union Medical College, is blacklisted across the entire industry for refusing to pull strings for the department head's relative.

With nowhere else to turn, she sets up a street stall selling jianbing, only to unexpectedly activate the Traditional Chinese Medicine System: every pancake she sells unlocks a lost ancient remedy.

A movie star who has suffered from insomnia for three years comes seeking treatment. One bowl of jianbing helps her sleep for twenty hours. She casually cures the richest man's terminal illness right at her stall. A foreign medical conglomerate offers ten billion yuan for her formula, but she doesn't even look up. "Get in line. There are fifty patients behind you."

While the whole world thinks she's just a pancake seller, someone from the National Health Commission quietly hands her a document. "Comrade Jiang He, the State Council invites you to establish an institute for the revival of traditional Chinese medicine."

Her ex-boyfriend kneels at her stall, begging to get back together. She smiles as she fries a jianbing. "Want an egg? Five yuan."
