In 2126, the world was divided and ruled by the "six major groups" Tianqiong, Noah, Xihe, Odin, Brahma, and Amon. Each group controlled independent "data airspace." The old Internet collapsed in the "Great Disconnection" event in 2115, and the open network became a taboo legend. Humans are generally implanted with basic neural interfaces, but advanced brain-computer equipment is monopolized by the group. There is an unregulated zone called the "Data Wasteland", full of technological waste and rebels.
