Siheyuan: I Turned Down the Municipal Bureau and Chose the Security Division

After working late night after night, Chu Weidong dies suddenly and inexplicably arrives in the world of Love in the Courtyard, becoming another Chu Weidong, an outstanding student who has just graduated at the top of his class from the Beijing Police Academy.

Now he has to choose: accept the city Public Security Bureau's offer to become a promising criminal investigation officer, or go to the Red Star Steel Plant as a security department clerk.

Without a second thought, Chu Weidong chooses the security department.

He has no choice. Sending a modern office worker, unable to lift a finger in a fight, to work as a detective in the 1960s would be like sending him to his death. Besides, the bureau is full of sharp-eyed veteran officers who would spot his lack of investigative skills at a glance.

But as soon as he makes his choice, a ding rings in his mind.

The Crime Apprehension System activates. Solve cases and punish criminals to earn supplies and skill rewards from countless worlds.

Chu Weidong nearly faints with frustration. If this damn apprehension System had arrived a minute earlier, he could have gone to the bureau and taken off. He might even have become the director! But now he's stuck carrying a baton and sparring with Silly Zhu and the other thieves and scoundrels in the courtyard every day!
