Prisoner of Light

Daybreak Prisoner is an unconventional post-apocalyptic novel that uses an engineer's dry humor to deconstruct survival horror, and rebuilds the light-and-dark aesthetic of zombie fiction through the premise of a fear of sunlight.

The protagonist, Shen Mo, isn't a hero. He's a light-adjuster, an ordinary man who must find a third path between light and darkness, humans and zombies, healing and destruction. His weapon isn't a superpower, but technology. His allies aren't perfect warriors, but survivors burdened by trauma. His enemies aren't mere monsters, but the forces of power, capital, and human evil that continue to operate in the apocalypse.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons or events is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
