In the Name of the People: Questioning the Government in Handong, Starting with Li Dakang!

"Li Dakang, your wife goes around carrying bags worth tens of thousands, and your daughter is studying in the Beautiful Country. You don't know about any of this?"

"I, Sun Liancheng, am accused of being a lazy official who does nothing? Ha! Don't bother demoting me three ranks. I'll resign. I'm done!"

"Fine, Li Dakang. I'll be waiting for you to kick me out of the Party!"

…

At a training course for lazy officials, Sun Liancheng angrily confronts Li Dakang.

It felt good to let it all out, but what was he supposed to do now?

On his way home, images suddenly appeared on a giant screen in Jingzhou City.

A voice addressed Li Dakang in the video:

"Li Dakang, did you turn a blind eye to Ding Yizhen's corruption, or did you deliberately let it happen? Do you think you had anything to do with Ding Yizhen's corruption?"

"During the Dafeng Factory fire, even Chang Chenghu understood what was going on. How could a city Party secretary like you not?"

"Between you and Chang Chenghu, which one of you is really part of the underworld?"

The questions left Li Dakang speechless, and even Sun Liancheng was stunned.

The people of Jingzhou City were just as shocked.

Was this... a political accountability broadcast in Handong?
