Three Pure Ones Temple's Merry Men Storm Kunlun to Guard the Three Realms

My name is Chen San. I'm a Tujia, and my Taoist name is Qingxuan. I'm the only officially registered disciple at Sanqing Temple on the outskirts of town. There are just three of us at the temple: my master, Old Li, who's so stingy he even bundles up incense ash to sell; Old Yang, who's been sweeping the temple for sixty-five years; and me, making milk tea money by telling people's fortunes in love and only wanting to lie flat and slack off.

I thought I could keep coasting through life like this. Then one day, my master suddenly rushed in from outside, smacked the pearl milk tea I'd just bought right out of my hand, and shouted urgently, “Disaster! The hundred-year Kunlun pact that seals the demons is about to expire!”

The legend was true after all: the Kunlun seal was cracking, and the eight baleful forces of yin, demons, monsters, spirits, evil entities, corpses, jiangshi, ghosts, and phantoms were about to break free!

My master dragged me along and hauled Old Yang, still clutching his broom, with him. The three of us couldn't put together a complete set of Taoist robes, yet somehow we squeezed into the Taoist forces marching to Kunlun for the final battle. No one could have expected that this makeshift crew, mocked by the entire internet, would chat about proper Taoist trivia while coming up with all sorts of ways to slaughter the baleful forces, and somehow become the last line of defense protecting the Three Realms.
