The Imperial Preceptor of Great Ming

Overworked office worker Liu Feng dies suddenly after working overtime and is reborn in the late Yuan dynasty, into the family of a wealthy merchant in Jinling. He preserves the family business amid the chaos, but both his parents die in the second year of Hongwu. Knowing that merchants have low status and that wealth can be a crime, Liu Feng sensibly sells off part of the family estate and keeps a low profile while studying. In the fourth year of Hongwu, he places third in the imperial examinations, the first held under the Ming, and enters government service as a seventh-rank compiler before later becoming a censor. Fully aware of the dangers lurking in the Hongwu court, Liu Feng chooses to lie flat and protect himself, showing up each day just to get by and asking only for a peaceful life. His fortunes change in early Hongwu Year Thirteen, while the fallout from the Hu Weiyong case is still unfolding, on the eve of Zhu Yuanzhang's plan to abolish the Central Secretariat and strengthen imperial authority. Liu Feng unexpectedly awakens the Civilization Advancement Sign-In System. Signing in daily, monthly, and yearly rewards him with Civilization Points, which he can use in the system shop to obtain items, technical blueprints, and even knowledge far ahead of their time. Faced with a divine tool capable of transforming the age, Liu Feng realizes he can no longer merely scrape by. He decides to stop lying flat and do something for the era he has lived in for more than twenty years, and for the future of Chinese civilization.
