Famine

During the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, Tan Yulu was born in Bian'er, Yuncheng, Shanxi Province. There were four eldest brothers in front of him, three of whom starved to death, and the second brother and him were left. When others saw him, they called him Tan Wu'er. Tan Wu'er was lame and couldn't use his right foot to walk. He looked crooked and looked a little funny. His father used to work as a carpenter in the village. Later, during the famine, most of the villagers fled and rested. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious. Any similarity is purely coincidental and should not be imitated.
