Journey to the West: I'm Just a Painter, So How Did I Become a Daoist?

Lin Fan transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West and becomes a painter working on a pleasure boat in Chang'an City.

He makes a living by selling the landscape paintings and portraits he creates.

What Lin Fan doesn't know is that his paintings can become reality.

His Painting of Mountains and Rivers causes the Jing River Dragon King's true spirit to vanish completely, and cuts short the Western forces' scheme against humanity.

His Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix brings the Phoenix Ancestor back to life after countless ages of slumber!

His Hou Yi Shoots the Suns painting brings the Pangu Divine Palace, long buried in ruins, back into the Three Realms!

His Pangu Creates the World painting elevates the Three Realms, restoring them to the ancient world!

With one stroke of his sword, the towering Five Finger Mountain shatters, and the furious Great Sage Equal to Heaven, full of pent-up grievances, returns to the Celestial Court.

"Old Jade Emperor, prepare to die!"

One day, an old man in a gray robe bows before Lin Fan aboard the pleasure boat.

"Your junior Hongjun pays his respects to the Great Dao!"

Lin Fan is dumbfounded.

"Wait..."

"I'm just a painter. How did I become the Great Dao?"
