I Rewrite the Rules, and the World Begs Me to Become a God

On the day I was fired, I bound myself to a Rule Editor.

From then on, the world looked to me like code that could all be modified.

Wall Street is shorting Chinese A-shares? I turn around and change the U.S. stock market circuit-breaker rule to: "The market closes if prices fall 0.1%!"

An alien fleet invades? I write on the spot: Any alien entering the Solar System automatically breaks into a square dance.

Then one day, a higher-dimensional civilization sent me an invitation: "Congratulations on clearing the beginner's village. Choose: join the Reapers, or become the enemy of the entire universe."

I smiled.

I started a livestream and pointed the camera at the boundless starry sky:

"Viewers, today I'll teach you, "

"How to modify the laws of the universe."

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
