Fire from Another World

This book is based on a real incident at Western University and creates an imaginary historical theme. It depicts a true picture of how a systemic disaster tears apart a society. After the nuclear disaster, Zhonggu State was sealed off by the government as a quiet restricted area, with information completely blocked. Millions of ordinary people were forced to face unemployment, property looting and silent erosion of health. Focusing on three ordinary families - the assembly factory worker family, the typical middle class in the riverside town and the "grayland wanderers" on the edge of the radiation zone, it shows their struggles, micro-resistance and fragmented survival in desperate situations. Under this hidden disaster, the power machine, in the name of order, pushed the vulnerable human beings of society to the edge of rupture. An invisible "purge line" spread in the gray fog, causing those who had lost their voices to gradually disappear. The protagonists go from initially believing in notices and promises to gradually waking up amidst coughing, missing neighbors and black trucks passing by late at night. They used graffiti, underground radio stations, blocked medical records and word-of-mouth rumors to try to piece together the erased truth, looking for a glimmer of light that might penetrate the Iron Curtain between the gaps in the barbed wire and patrol lights. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious. Any similarity is purely coincidental and should not be imitated.
