Shanghai Shuangshu: Silk Threads
On the winter night of 1978, two Shanghai educated youths who were forced into a desperate situation by fate - "White Moonlight" Qiao Qiao, who has an artistic pedigree, and "Red Rose" Dao Meixiang, who was struggling at the bottom, armed with kitchen knives, boarded a truck returning home, tearing open the gap between the times.
Over the next thirty years, from the alley shops in Shikumen to the catwalks of international fashion weeks, they became mirror images of each other and mortal enemies. One would rather bend than bend for the sake of "beauty", and the other would do whatever it takes for the sake of "survival". A battle between love and jealousy, and jealousy and hatred, entwines the fate of two generations.
