Journey to the West: Devouring Demonesses and Exposing the Dark Side of the Pilgrimage

I spent four thousand years as a minor demon on Lion Camel Ridge, and died eight times.

The first time, a monkey killed me with a single staff strike. The second time, Zhu Bajie crushed me with his rake. The third... the eighth time.

In my ninth life, I saw through the pilgrimage to the West: it was a setup. Merit was a trap, and every five hundred years the cycle repeated, all to harvest the spiritual energy of the Three Realms.

Tang Sanzang's bulging muscles came from being a vessel for merit;

Sun Wukong's Fiery Golden Eyes were actually surveillance cameras;

Zhu Bajie's gluttony was meant to gather the spiritual energy of desire.

I awakened the Devouring Evolution System: recruit female demons to grow stronger, devour tribulations to gain divine abilities.

Lady White Bone? Recruit her! Her Nine Nether Bone Body awakens my Ancestral Dragon bloodline.

The Jade-Faced Fox? Recruit her! Her celestial fox illusions let me see through Heaven's schemes.

Princess Iron Fan, Princess Wansheng, the Seven Spider Sisters... Each one I recruit sends my cultivation soaring.

From a minor demon to the Demon Emperor, from devouring to transcendence, I throw the Three Realms into chaos.

I recruit female demons, battle my way through Spirit Mountain, and finally sit in Lingxiao Palace to ask the gods and buddhas above:

“Now, who is the tribulation?”
