The Foolish Emperor Takes Advice: I Really Never Meant to Become an Emperor for the Ages

Overworked programmer Xiao Heng transmigrates into the body of the puppet new emperor of the Dayin Dynasty. The System promises, "The moment your kingdom falls, I'll send you back to the modern world with a retirement fund worth billions." Delighted, Xiao Heng immediately launches his "Let It All Fall Apart and Lose the Throne Plan": abolish morning court, keep a troupe of entertainers, dote on a spy, approve memorials at random, and meddle incompetently in construction projects. However, his golden finger, the "Eye of Truth," keeps activating on its own, making his seemingly absurd blunders hit the weak points of the court's deep-rooted problems.

The "treacherous minister" he promotes is actually a capable official whose talents have gone unrecognized. The "demon consort" he favors is actually a double agent sent by an enemy kingdom. The "mysterious scribbles" he draws at random become a divine blueprint for flood control. As six women, each with extraordinary abilities, gradually give him their hearts, they invent elaborate theories about the emperor's schemes and repeatedly sabotage Xiao Heng's "grand plan to bring down the kingdom."

In the end, Xiao Heng sits upon the dragon throne as envoys from every nation pay tribute, gazing out at an age of peace and prosperity across the land. Tears of regret stream down his face. "I really only wanted to retire!"
