Honghuang: Reborn as King Zhou of Shang, My Notes Are Spied on from the Start

I, King Zhou, am bound to the Nation-Failing-to-Sage System. If I follow the Investiture of the Gods plot to the end and burn myself alive, I can become a Heavenly Dao Sage!

So I start courting disaster like crazy: building a wine pool and meat forest, deposing the virtuous queen, insulting Empress Nuwa, and driving loyal ministers to rebel... Yet every time I finish one of these stunts, the entire court kneels and cries, "Your Majesty is wise!"

The wine pool and meat forest becomes a public works project, my scheme to depose the queen makes the loyal ministers even more united, and Empress Nuwa actually praises my poetry?!

Only later do I learn that the notebook where I write my plans has a synchronized copy in the hands of a group trying to save the country. They think I'm orchestrating a Heaven-defying master plan to change fate!

As Sect Master Tongtian cuts down his own sagehood, Empress Houtu breaks free from the cycle of reincarnation, Kong Xuan becomes the totem of the Great Shang, and...

I stand atop the Deer Terrace, watching as immortals from every realm gather at court. The System blares its warning: "Warning! Host has deviated severely from the script!"

I laugh. "I don't want this sagehood anymore."

"From today on, I am the Human Sovereign. I shall establish the Human Dao and forever guard the Primordial World!"
