The Ming Dynasty's Savior: The People Want Me as Their Emperor

The Great Ming is doomed! Only the merchant Zhu can save the people! During the Hongwu era, the refugee Zhu Yu swears a blood oath of revenge after his brother Xu Wei is killed by Mongol cavalry!

He turns down the proper path of agricultural registration recommended by Lan Yu and chooses merchant status instead, doing business outside Jinling while providing relief to disaster victims.

An accident leads him to witness the Crown Prince Zhu Yunwen's charity show. The pampered prince is afraid of getting his clothes dirty, so he throws a little girl who came to beg for help to the ground, breaking her arm!

Zhu Yu denounces the hypocrisy of the royal family on the spot and sets up a porridge kitchen to feed the people.

In just a few months, he goes from a lowly merchant to the savior of the Great Ming, from a street trader to a man acclaimed by the people. With corruption rampant in the court and the people starving and freezing, how will this ordinary man, once driven by revenge for his brother, take step after step toward saving his country and its people, until all under heaven cry out: "Zhu Yu, become emperor!"
