Apocalypse: Awakening to Cold Weapons

As dusk darkens the sky, a meteorite carrying alien energy and spores streaks overhead.

The meteorite crashes into Blue Star, spreading its energy and countless spores.

The spores infect humans, turning them into Awakened. Those in poor health become zombie-like monsters known as Sporemen.

When spores infect animals, they create mutated beasts.

When spores infect plants, they create mutated plants.

Hosts vary in strength, as do the spores.

Their combinations produce different Awakened, mutated beasts, and mutated plants.

The strongest among them are the Awakened, mutated beasts, and mutated plants fused with one of the Nine Generals among the spores,

as well as the three mysterious beings above the Nine Generals.

The Nine Generals each represent one of nine attributes: metal, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, lightning, light, and darkness.

Below the Nine Generals are the "bosses," who make up roughly one-tenth of all the spores.

At the very bottom are the spores' "common folk."

Wu Mo is knocked unconscious by the meteorite's shockwave. When he wakes, he discovers he has become an Awakened, fused with one of the Sporemen's "common folk." He names it Mr. Mushroom.
