Dream Dragon

Did Zhuang Zhou dream he was a butterfly, or did the butterfly dream it was Zhuang Zhou?

Harvard scientist Kou Xi once firmly believed that everything in the universe could be explained by science. Then a nuclear fusion incident swept him into a fantastical world, one built by the gods and powered by "spiritual energy."

Here, he was Ao Xi, a descendant of the dragon clan and an orphan of a war that had raged for ten thousand years. Had his thirty-two years on Earth been a fleeting dream, or was the grand saga of immortal and demonic warfare before his eyes the dream buried deep in his consciousness?

Science and mysticism clashed here, while memory and reality blurred. He used his intellect to master the power of cultivation, applied scientific logic to decipher how spiritual energy worked, and rebuilt cultivation methods with a technological mindset. As he led all living beings in their ultimate rebellion against the gods who had created and exploited them, he had to face the deepest philosophical dilemma of all: If everything I have experienced is an illusion, what meaning is there in everything I have fought for?

A battle of salvation at the boundary between dream and reality, a magnificent saga that would evolve into our mythology. And it may all have begun in 2022, when he scoffed at an ancient legend in a theology lecture hall.
