Comparing Fusu of Great Qin from the Start: Qin Shi Huang Is Shattered

"I am the First Emperor. Let those who come after me be numbered: second generation, third generation, down to ten thousand generations, passed on without end!" Ying Zheng stands before the Qilin Hall, only to see the sky screen reveal the fates of two Fusu's.

On the left screen, Prince Fusu takes his own life in Shang Commandery after receiving a forged edict, leaving the Qin to fall after just two generations.

On the right screen, the Great Sage Fusu ushers in the "Yongjia Era of Prosperity," leads a million troops north to drive out the Xiongnu, and brings the four seas to submission.

Ying Zheng gazes at the "Great Sage of Qin," whose achievements surpass those of the Three Sovereigns, then glances at his foolishly loyal eldest son below the steps. The thought of replacing his son takes root.

Li Si witnesses his future self being sliced in half and his clan exterminated, then sees the Great Sage Fusu posthumously honor him as "the greatest chancellor of all time." His faith in Legalism wavers violently.

Lü Zhi watches another version of herself change from a poisonous empress who believes, "Unless every last member of the clan is wiped out, the realm will never know peace," into a wise empress remembered by history. Han Xin and Peng Yue see their own perfect endings, living out their days in favor, and their eyes kindle with fervent hope.

Only Prince Fusu gazes up at the sky screen and murmurs to himself, "The realm is already in turmoil... and everything ends in failure. Am I really so worthless?"

The sky screen shines brightly, revealing regrets that have lasted for ages, and the deepest obsessions and resentments in everyone's heart.
