Inkstone

In order to complete a special photo shoot called Inkstone on the Ice, photographer Gu Yan went to the uninhabited glacier alone. This journey was not only to capture the glacier scenery that can "preserve time", but also to hide his thoughts about his father: the cracked end inkstone left by his father taught him that "ink can be stored in the cracks, and light can be hidden in the difficulties." When the morning mist spread over the ice field and the rising sun dyed the ice cracks golden red, Gu Yan accidentally stepped on the thin ice and fell into the cold ice river water in order to freeze this "light in the ice cracks". The mountaineering bag and supplies he carried sank to the bottom of the water, and he was trapped on the ice only as wide as his feet. The subzero low temperature and the continuously cracking ice continued to devour hope, and even the camera, which he regarded as a treasure, was almost reduced to scrap metal. Just when despair was about to grasp him, the orange figure of the observatory staff unexpectedly appeared, and a rope with body temperature became his life-saving straw. After surviving the disaster, Gu Yan wiped his camera by the stove and discovered that the memory card not only contained the majesty of the glacier, but also the answer to "If you don't give up in desperate situations, you will eventually encounter the light." This journey named "Yan" finally allowed him to understand the weight of his father's words. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious.
