The Tyrant Who Passed Through the Ninja World

When Zenin Toji's blood spattered across a curse's claws, he thought he'd die like a stray dog in the gutters of the jujutsu world. After all, he'd been born the Zenin clan's "reject," a man with no cursed energy who'd dared to tear apart the rules of the jujutsu world. Even his death was supposed to be marked by the ragged defiance of a rebel.

But when he opened his eyes again, the stench of gunpowder drowned out the curses' rot, and a rusty kunai had replaced the cold gleam of the Inverted Spear of Heaven. This was the shinobi world, where the Third Great Ninja War was scorching the land black. Ninjas wove slaughter with chakra, bounty notices in the black market reeked of blood and money, and even the wind carried an absurd air.

Some called him a madman, trading his life for food and drink. Others feared he was a monster, with no chakra yet able to shatter the rules of ninjutsu. But Toji only cared that the liquor was strong, the meat was delicious, and his purse was heavy. As for the wars and peace of the shinobi world, the rise and fall of villages, and their survival or destruction, they were all just absurd tales he'd heard while drinking himself senseless.
