Cursed While Tomb Raiding from the Start, I Obtain the Grave Robber System

When the bronze talisman chain dug into his flesh on a full-moon night, Wang Xiaonao was busy labeling fake antiques. The last descendant of a family of tomb raiders, he is a smooth-talking antique dealer on the surface, but behind the scenes, the Gold-Touching Captain System forces him to delve into tombs. When he runs into archaeologist Liu Ruyan, who is swapping out a soul-suppressing jade in a Tang-dynasty ghost tomb, a swarm of corpse beetles suddenly goes berserk. The woman whips a rope toward him, and her bloodstained fingertips overlap with the sound of his father's chain snapping in his memories from when he was ten.

Ninth Master’s Gu worms crawl through his veins. The compass his dying partner, Wang Tietou, shoved into his hands points to an even darker truth: all tomb raiders are sacrifices in a scheme for immortality. The System coldly prompts him to break the curse with a tomb guardian's heart's blood, but when Liu Ruyan bites his lip and passes him the antidote, a coin-shaped talisman slips from her collar. It is the very same life-saving charm he lost twenty years ago. As the dead shriek in the abyss, Wang Xiaonao smashes his ancestral bronze chain and laughs as his curses echo through the tomb passage: "I'll make this damn heaven change my fate, no matter what!"
