On a winter night when the city was closed due to a snowstorm, Lin Zhiyuan, a well-known criminal defense lawyer, fell to his death in his study room. She knew that before his death, Lin Zhiyuan was investigating a "headless case" from ten years ago: a girl disappeared, three people pleaded guilty, but no one was sentenced. There was no body, no motive, or even the truth in that case. And now, Lin Zhiyuan's death seems like some kind of response. Shen Zhao started to investigate, but found that every clue was erasing a person's existence. She is not trying to find the murderer, but to prove: "Someone killed someone but never committed the crime." This novel and its characters are purely fictitious.
