Great Ming Power Minister: Starting with the Tumu Crisis

Chen Mo, a mechanical engineer and die-hard Ming history fan, transmigrates into the Battle of Tumu Fortress!

Facing Emperor Yingzong of Ming, Zhu Qizhen, he opens with a bombshell:

"Your Majesty! Posterity calls this battle the 'Tumu Crisis'!"

"You have become a rare commodity in the hands of the Oirats, who are waiting to sell you to the highest bidder!"

Zhu Qizhen: "You spread heretical nonsense! You... who on earth are you?"

Chen Mo: "I came from five hundred years in the future! I know the fate of the Ming Dynasty, and I know how Your Majesty will return!"

To win the emperor's trust, he casually grabbed a wooden wedge and a stone, then pried up a boulder in just a few moves.

Zhu Qizhen's eyes widened in shock!

"This isn't sorcery. It's the study of things and the pursuit of their principles!"

With modern knowledge and historical insight, Chen Mo...

Improves the arquebus to rout the Oirat cavalry, and revolutionizes Jiangnan's textile industry with water-powered spinning machines.

The new army's drill manual is his work, and the fortress artillery emplacements follow his designs.

The nobles hate him to the bone: "That scoundrel Chen Mo is ruining the foundation laid by our ancestors!"

Yu Qian denounces him: "Clever tricks and frivolous inventions will shake the foundations of the state!"

But Zhu Qizhen clutches his arm tightly: "Minister Chen, you are the most loyal subject in all of Ming!"
