After I Retired to Seclusion, My Grandson Was Kidnapped, So I Filed a Medal Citation with the Military District

Jian Daqing, a hero of the war against Japan, chose to return to his hometown after the founding of the nation. He turned down honors and lived under an assumed name.

His son died defending the border. After his daughter-in-law gave birth to a baby boy, she unexpectedly died on the operating table!

His grandson was abducted by the head of the obstetrics department. No one would answer his cries for help, and there was nowhere to turn!

Officials protected one another and covered things up at every level. Were they really going to leave the Jian family without an heir?!

So Jian Daqing staked everything, pinned on his medals, revealed his identity, and reported the case to the military district.

In an instant, the news made headlines and sent netizens reeling.

The provincial military district political commissar: "That old man looks familiar. I'll go see him myself!"

The theater commander: "That's him! He looks just like the old regimental commander my father described!"

Before long, the whole country was in an uproar. The collision of power and money was like a battle between immortals.

"Old hero, we've found a lead on your grandson..."
