Siheyuan: Yan Jiecong's Rise from Procurement Clerk to Ministry Official

Everyone in the courtyard knows that Yan Bugui's family is calculating to the bone. They even count their soy sauce drop by drop. But nobody expected his second son, Yan Jie, to change completely overnight! He eats white-flour steamed buns and fatty meat at every meal, making Banggeng drool as he peeks over the wall every day! While other families fret over a few inches' worth of clothing coupons, he turns around and has a new outfit made for his wife! When the three big-ticket items are brought home, the whole courtyard erupts! Yan Bugui asks, "Son, where did our family get all this good stuff?" Yan Jie, carrying a space stocked with unlimited supplies, looks at his stingy father and the whole courtyard full of scoundrels, and smiles. The good life is only just beginning! Watch as I transform this miserly family, put all those scoundrels in their place, and build a life of wealth in an era of scarcity!
