One Piece: Scorpion's Shadow

Ling Ye leaned against the cold reef wall, curled up in the deepest corner of his cell. Darkness was his best cloak. He was awake, his eyes reflecting a faint glimmer in the shadows as they swept coldly over everything beyond the iron bars, much like a scorpion lying in wait.

He had been locked up here for... he couldn't remember anymore. Time, too, was something that could be taken away here.

The charge? Baseless. Perhaps he had seen something he shouldn't have, or perhaps some noble lord simply needed an unlucky scapegoat. He didn't particularly care about the exact reason. He remembered only one face: the judge's, smiling mockingly as he lightly waved a hand and ordered Ling Ye thrown into this living tomb.

That face gradually merged with several others in his memory, the ones responsible for destroying his family.

Hatred. It was the only thing that could keep burning in this lifeless silence, like a venomous sting buried deep in his heart, providing the nourishment he needed to stay alive. It was no blazing flame, but a cold, relentless poison fire, the kind that belonged to a Scorpio.

See what kind of upheaval this mysterious young man will bring to a world so filthy and corrupt.
