I live in a rural area in the Northeast. I have listened to my grandfathers telling stories about fox fairies since I was a child, and some people worship fox fairies at home. I always thought this was nonsense, until that year when I sneaked away to the back mountains... After returning home, I fell ill and almost died from it.
