The Dewleaf Talisman Scripture

Fu Qingyun has lived among the banana groves of Nanling since childhood, finding joy in watching leaves catch the dew. Little does he know that his ability to gather dew in his palm and turn it into talismans is the long-lost Dao of Grass and Wood Talismans, unseen for a thousand years.

A flash flood destroys his home. On a battered banana leaf, he comprehends his first "Life-Protecting Talisman" and discovers that he shares a spiritual connection with plants and trees. To uncover the roots of the talismanic arts, he takes half of an ancestral banana-leaf manuscript into the jianghu. Using morning dew for ink and petals and leaves for paper, he paints living talismans that summon rain and spur seeds to sprout, while also stumbling upon the secret talismanic arts hidden by the prestigious orthodox sects.

While people of the age are obsessed with the fierce power of metal and stone talismans, he finds a way to life in the gentleness of plants. In the end, he uses a single banana leaf to bear a thousand measures of dew and paints the true Dew-Bearing Talisman, capable of reversing the order of heaven and earth.
