Courtyard, Please Don't Make Us Be Good People

Period courtyard drama + scheming mischief-maker + reverse System + hilarious antics + lying flat to sainthood

After transmigrating to the 1960s, Jiang Fan becomes a college student in the courtyard, a kind-hearted man whom everyone can bully. From the start, he activates the Boundless Merit System.

This System is a little strange. When other people do evil, I suffer the consequences. But if anyone tries to do evil to me, they're forced to do good deeds and accumulate merit!

From then on, the whole courtyard is turned upside down.

After Jia Zhangshi fails to steal a chicken, she tearfully brings me three jin of pork: "Xiao Jiang, you're too skinny. Auntie brought you some meat to build you up!"

When Yi Zhonghai tries to steal my job, he publicly gives me the award for outstanding achievement: "Comrade Jiang Fan is a man of noble character and a role model for all of us!"

When Sha Zhu tries to beat me up, his raised fist turns into a back rub: "Master Jiang, you must be tired. Let me massage your shoulders!"

The courtyard's troublemakers break down in tears: "We really don't want to be good people! Please, take back your divine powers!"

Jiang Fan spreads his hands helplessly. "What can I do? You're the ones insisting on giving me merit! At this rate, I'm really going to ascend in broad daylight!"
