Where the Beacon Fires Die, My Beloved Shines Like the Moon

War flames erupt, and a general's family falls. The proud young woman Shen Jinghong cuts off her hair to proclaim her resolve, becoming "Jade-Faced Asura" Shen Jinglan. She takes her brother's place in battle, vowing to avenge her family's humiliation and defend the land for thousands of miles.

Amid mountains of corpses and seas of blood, she saves the gravely wounded Xiao Jin, a mysterious man who appears sickly and gentle but is in fact a scheming, patient Seventh Prince. As they explore a conspiracy together amid court infighting and encroaching enemy states, the two gradually become allies who entrust one another with their lives.

She is a battle-hardened "brother in arms" who has no sense for romance; he is a lovesick, unhinged man with a busy inner monologue who manages to talk himself into falling in love. Amid treacherous political schemes, he falls deeper step by step while she realizes it only belatedly. Beneath the fog of their identities, love and danger ignite together.

When the flames of war finally die down and the truth comes to light, she casts off her armor. Will she choose a phoenix crown and bridal robes, or stand beside him as a woman and rule this splendid realm together? Red bridal robes and iron armor reflect the land. See how the moon shines on, long and bright, after the flames of war have burned away.
