Moreover, the plot of returning home later shows that the family has prepared a reunion dinner, which shows that the protagonist's father does not have any work that he cannot find a job for, but simply does not want to pick up his son. That's it? When the protagonist enters the house, he is still thinking about going to bed and rushing to see a doctor for his stepmother whom he is meeting for the first time. Alas, I really can't understand the author's thinking.
