The Age of Plant Evolution

Botanist Chen Mo discovers abnormal plant growth in the laboratory. Soon afterward, the city is swallowed by wildly proliferating plants, and plant life expands rapidly across the globe. The "Green Tide" has arrived, plunging humanity into crisis. As time passes, some humans form symbiotic bonds with plants and become "Symbiotes," while others band together as "Purifiers," determined to eradicate the plants and restore the old order. The two sides clash.

Along the way, the plants display astonishing evolutionary abilities. They can adapt rapidly to their environment, resist inhibitors, and even form a root network spanning the globe. They can absorb the knowledge of human civilization and imitate the reproductive methods of animals. The Symbiotes gradually adapt to living alongside plants, building new homes among the treetops and exploring the possibility of humans and plants sharing the Earth.
