Hong Kong Films: When You’re Out in the World, You Make Your Own Identity

Jiang Yaozu comes clean: I'm here to be your ancestor.

As soon as he arrives in Hong Kong, he barges straight into the Hung Hing headquarters and points at the boss, Jiang Tiansheng. "My great-grandson, come pour your great-grandpa some tea!"

Everyone thinks he's crazy, until he slams the Jiang family genealogy onto the table.

Jiang Tiansheng: "..."

Big B: "..."

The whole gang is dumbfounded!

They thought this was all about fighting and killing. Why is everyone suddenly getting pushed down a generation?

From that day on, Hung Hing has a twenty-year-old supreme patriarch.

Jiang Yaozu: "Tiansheng, I don't think you're doing a good job as the boss. Let your great-grandpa give you a hand."

Jiang Tiansheng cries with gratitude. "Thank you for your guidance, Little Great-Grandpa!"

Jiang Yaozu: "Our Jiang family is a family of scholars. We should be refined."

Jiang Tiansheng: "You're absolutely right, Great-Grandpa!"

And so, under the wise guidance of the Little Great-Grandpa, Hung Hing starts venturing into finance, real estate, technology, and more...

A business empire spanning both the legitimate and criminal worlds rises to power.

And the only reason it all came about was that one little ancestor wanted to live a life of luxury.
