This story tells the tragic love story of a pair of high school students, Su Che and Lin Wei.
At the beginning of the second year of high school, Su Che accidentally knocked away Lin Wei's book. The two met and soon fell in love, agreeing to write letters every week to share their thoughts. But later, Lin Wei was violated by bad guys, threatened, humiliated, and eventually disappeared.
Twelve years later, a white skeleton was dug up at the construction site, with a faded cherry blossom specimen next to it. Under the specimen were written Lin Wei's words to Su Che: "If the cherry blossoms fall slower, will we have a tomorrow?" Su Che, who had been mentally disturbed by Lin Wei's disappearance, suddenly woke up when he saw this scene, remembering all the past events, leaving only endless sadness.
The cherry blossoms in the story, just like their short and beautiful youth and love, fell silently when they were separated from each other at the beginning, leaving an ending full of regrets.
