The Emperor Is Not Fat

The setting of this book is a general history of China. I think "tong" has two meanings: one is comprehensive; the other is popular. The title of the book earlier sets the temperature of history: when the Great Qin Empire rose to prominence after hundreds of years of vicissitudes, when the fire at Red Cliff burned out Cao Cao's millions of troops... The atmosphere was all boiling; and for example, King Zhou of Shang dug out Bigan's heart, and the exchange of children in Handan City after the Battle of Changping all brought out the desolation of human nature... History has a temperature! Later, I felt that the title of the book was desirable but also too conventional. It seemed inconsistent with the description of the full text, so I chose the title The Emperor Was Not Fat. There are three reasons: first, people in the Tang Dynasty regarded fatness as beauty, and no one thought the emperor was fat; second, the emperor had great power, and no one dared to accuse him; third, "weight loss" is an eternal topic in this century, and the sense of substitution is stronger. This book is written from the Yao, Shun, and Yu eras with available historical data to the fall of the Qing Dynasty, and the writing style is witty and humorous. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious. Any similarity is purely coincidental and should not be imitated.
