Night of Ascension

In fate's mire, my soul is broken, its fragments piercing my heart. Yet even so, I will never release my grip on hope. People are contradictions made flesh. We long for love and warmth, yet keep building walls around our hearts with our own hands. We yearn for a bright, open road, but darkness always trips our steps. We wander this maze of twisted human nature, torn between opposing impulses, gritting our teeth and pressing on.
