West of Nancheng

The trees in the forest bloom in spring, flourish in summer, turn yellow in autumn, and grow sparse in winter. People change with the seasons, too. Why care so much about one person? They're only by your side for a while. Like leaves on a tree, they come and go, drifting this way and that, until they flutter away. Then, one day, you suddenly look up and realize that you are like a leaf, wanting to stay by their side forever, but, for one reason or another, you come and go just like leaves affected by the weather and the seasons. You become part of their life for a moment, but when it's all over, they might not even remember your face.
