Reborn in Naruto: The Steady Toad Sage Rewrites Jiraiya's Fate

"As he lay dying, Jiraiya finally saw Pain's face clearly: it was Nagato, the boy he had personally raised and taught.

With blood blurring his vision, he remembered Tsunade murmuring 'Dan' while drunk, the disciple Danzo had silenced, and that figure whose back he could never catch up to...

When he opened his eyes again, he was kneeling in the Wet Bone Forest of Mount Myoboku, with a glowing 'Rinne Seal' in his palm.

In this life, he would not charge into Amegakure alone.

In the ANBU files, Danzo's Root members suddenly vanished as a group. At the orphanage in Amegakure, he slipped Yahiko a short sword: 'Next time you run into Hanzo, don't run so fast. Your teacher will come get you.' In a Konoha tavern, he held down the sake jug Tsunade was about to smash over someone's head and said softly, 'I'll win that bet for you.'

When Pain appeared again, Jiraiya stood before him, swaying a sake gourd. 'Little Nagato, this time, your teacher will show you how to live, not how to die.'

Careful planning, a destiny rewritten against all odds: this was the ending the Toad Sage deserved."
