Duanmu Yan Sets Out for Journey to the West from the Start: I Don't Eat Beef

A multi-protagonist tale of Journey to the West, the Primordial World, and transmigrating across the heavens, featuring General Duanmu.

While pursuing the Ouxers, General Duanmu was sucked into a black hole by a twist of fate and arrived in the world of Journey to the West. He happened to arrive just as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, was being pinned beneath the Five Elements Mountain. From then on, he accompanied Tang Sanzang and his disciples on their journey to the West.

Tang Sanzang: "Wukong, why did you kill them?"

Sun Wukong: "Master, if we don't get rid of evil people, they'll harm the good!"

General Duanmu: "I can't be bothered to reason with you. You're not worth listening to. If you're a monster and an evildoer today, you'll be a monster and an evildoer for life!"

Then General Duanmu proceeded to discipline Tang Sanzang until he became Tang Sanzang the Gravedigger.

Tang Sanzang the Gravedigger: "This holy monk will bury the heavens, the earth, and all living beings! Disciples, if you don't pull up the weeds by the roots, they'll grow back when the spring breeze blows. Search carefully! Search every last inch!"

"Eat this holy monk and you'll live forever and attain immortality. Want a bite?"

Sun Wukong: "Old Jade Emperor, get down here! The throne takes turns, and next year it's my turn!"

"I don't eat beef!"
