Merit Villain System: The More I Clear My Name, the More Invincible I Become

Shen Yuan is reborn as the cultivation world's number-one villain and awakens a Merit-Cleansing System: if his merit points don't reach the required threshold within 30 days, his soul will be destroyed!

Looking at the -9,999 merit points on his status screen, he decides to throw caution to the wind.

Kill an orthodox disciple? System: This cultivator was practicing forbidden arts. Host, you have rid the people of a menace. Merit +500!

Break the Demon Venerable out of prison? System: Congratulations, Host. You have reformed the Demon Venerable. Merit +1,000!

Shen Yuan takes the Demon Venerable's hand and falls into deep thought: How come the more I play the villain, the more I seem like a living Lei Feng?
