Rescuing People on the Battlefield, and Hou Liangping Says I'm Practicing Medicine Without a License?

Newly appointed official Hou Liangping is eager to prove himself, so he sets his sights on Zhao Zhiyuan, who has been reported for being "a low-ranking official with enormous ill-gotten wealth."

But after investigating, he discovers that Zhao Zhiyuan is not corrupt at all. In fact, he has paid out of his own pocket to do plenty of good deeds.

This leaves Hou Liangping feeling utterly humiliated.

He refuses to accept it!

Then Hou Liangping discovers that Zhao Zhiyuan has treated many people's illnesses without even having a medical license.

He is delighted.

"That's illegal! How can you be allowed to work in government?"

"You have to go to prison!"

When the news comes out, countless people saved by Zhao Zhiyuan step forward to speak up for him.

Zhao Mengsheng, a military district commander, even flies straight to Handong to confront Hou Liangping:

"You say he practiced medicine without a license? But he saved hundreds of soldiers on the battlefield. Was that wrong, too?"

At once, countless high-ranking military officials come forward to vouch for Zhao Zhiyuan's medical skills and his achievements on the battlefield.

Hou Liangping is completely dumbfounded.

"You only said you saved people without needing a medical license. You never said you saved them on a battlefield!"
