Merit Above All

The convenience store shelves come crashing down. Lin Xiaoshan, expelled from his sect, curls up in a blind spot of the security cameras as the mockery of his former fellow disciples rings in his ears: "Trash like you belongs rotting among the ants!"

Until a Merit System flashes blood-red words across his vision:

Help an old lady cross the street: 5 merit points

Beat up a gang leader: 50 merit points

While the cultivation world fights over blessed grottoes and sacred lands, this young man at the bottom, mocked by the entire internet, earns merit delivering takeout to exchange for the Nine-Turn Golden Elixir Art, and saves people in the emergency room to illuminate his Tribulation Lightning Runes.

Ten years later, a Nascent Soul Patriarch blocks the path of a Meituan delivery rider, only to see a ten-thousand-point merit sword formation fly out of the delivery box and point straight at the heavens!
